Dr. Lack, DVM
Dr. Thomas Lack is an associate veterinarian here at Georgian Animal Hospital. He completed his veterinary education at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in April 2025 and has been practicing since.
Dr. Tom always felt a close connection with animals, and from elementary school age, he cared for several pets, starting with his family’s first goldfish and expanding later to a wide variety of pets. Dr. Tom is still determining what his favourite areas of vet medicine will be.
So far, he is most interested in dermatology, ultrasound, cytology and preventative medicine, but he is game to help whatever our patients’ needs may be. Dr. Tom first visited Georgian on rotation in his clinical year, where he stayed in a small family trailer.
Overall, he enjoyed his experience so much that he decided to move to the Parry Sound Area full-time. His favourite part of being a veterinarian is learning about and helping find solutions that work for a wide variety of patients, each with their own unique needs.
Dr. Tom’s hobbies include reading, swimming and weightlifting, while cycling is a work in progress. He shares his home with his fiancée, and two cats, a sassy, black domestic shorthair named Mingus and his half-siamese sister and former clinic cat, Dolly.
